We are currently building a worldwide dedicated team of innovative Behaviour Analysts, who would like to train as additional pet therapists, to add a new dimension or alternate their treatments and interventions using puppies and dogs to help people.

We aim to consist of Early Childhood Teachers, School Teachers and BCBAs as well as aspiring and training Australian CBA’s and BCBAs and Applied Behaviour Analysis students led by Sharne Brock-Fenton, who has qualifications in Early Childhood Education as well as a Graduate Certificate and Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Griffith University where she is still currently studying and is a registered dog breeder of Toy poodles and Toy Cavoodles. In her spare time whist completing her degrees, Sharne has been researching the benefits of puppies and dogs to decrease behaviours of concern such as aggression, property damage and self-injurious behaviour with children and adults who have Autism and ADHD as apart of them. Sharne started researching in 2022 and has seen some wonderful results which she will share in the book .

We are researching the benefits of Pet Therapy for people with disabilities especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD and would love you to join our team and become a future research partner by emailing us your story and contact information.

We want to hear from parents and carers any success stories or stories when things didn’t go to plan of bringing a puppy into a home with people who are neurodivergent, explicitly those who exhibit behaviours of concern such as aggression, property damage or self harming behaviours.

We want to especially hear from any Early Intervention Specialists, Early Childhood Teachers and or School Teachers as well as BCBA’s who have used puppies or have dogs included in their interventions or play and have success stories to share.

We aim to develop Pet Therapy as an evidence based practice..

We aim to compile a book with stories and pictures to share with the world so if you give permission for your story and images to be printed in a book and are interested in being included, please advise in your email, you will receive a gift for your contribution and any proceeds made from future sales will be used to conduct further research into the benefits of this for people plus annual gifts for contributors .
